PSYCHOLOGICAL  SERVICES for adults

ABOUT MY PRACTICE AND APPROACH

I’m a licensed psychologist with many years of experience supporting adults through anxiety, depression, trauma, and complex emotional challenges. My work is shaped by a long‑standing curiosity about how the brain, mind, and relationships interact, and how thoughtful, well‑timed interventions can help people shift long‑standing patterns.

Over the course of my career, I’ve worked in a wide range of clinical settings, including community‑based mental health programs, multidisciplinary teams, trauma‑focused therapy and group programs, services supporting school and university learning, pain management programs, and anxiety‑intervention design. I’ve also contributed to research aimed at better understanding the interface between physical or brain‑injury symptoms and the presence of mood and anxiety concerns. These experiences have allowed me to reflect broadly and deeply on a wide variety of clinical presentations, and to approach each client with a flexible, informed perspective.

My practice is now offered exclusively through secure telehealth. I’ve found that meeting online often helps clients feel more at ease, more focused, and more able to engage in therapy from a space that feels familiar and safe. Telehealth also removes barriers such as travel time, mobility challenges, weather, and scheduling constraints, allowing therapy to fit more naturally into daily life.

My approach to therapy is steady, attentive, and grounded. I work with a strong awareness of the subtle dynamics that arise in the therapeutic relationship—both in you and in me. I pay close attention to how you take in and respond to our conversations, and I adjust my approach thoughtfully to support your comfort, clarity, and growth.

My style is quiet, calm, and collaborative. I’m not a directive or high‑energy therapist. Instead, I offer a space where you can explore difficult emotions at your own pace, without pressure or judgment. Many clients describe my presence as gentle and grounding, and appreciate the sense of safety this creates.

My goal is to help you understand yourself more deeply, navigate challenges with greater clarity, and move toward a life that feels more aligned with who you are.
